Lloyd's Register is the compliance, risk and technical consultancy organisation that has been administering the Register Book of marine products since 1760, inspecting ships and their materials and applying their verification process to provide this valuable seal of approval. The Lloyd’s Register attests to the safety and environmental standards of ships and their constituent parts. It is a list of more than 180,000 merchant ships weighing 100 tonnes or more, tracking information including their ownership, operators and the flags they sail under, until they are scrapped, wrecked or deemed incapable of putting to sea.
